Upcoming Public Awareness Meeting - March 7, 2019

Updated: Mar 1, 2019

Save Our Water invites you to attend a community meeting on March 7 to hear a report from executive members of Wellington Water Watchers on their recent trip to Vittel France and the international water summit.

Vittel is a community now facing water shortages and possible water contamination issues and as a result of Nestle's water taking activities.

Come hear from the Wellington Water Watchers delegation, how Nestle has carried out its activities in Vittel, and how Nestle at Vittel relates to the challenge we face in Centre Wellington. This is a key opportunity to hear how our issue is connected to a global fight to protect drinking water.

Hope to see you there!

Where: 42 Carden Street (4th Floor), Guelph

When: March 7, 2019 at 7:00 pm (Doors open at 6:30 pm)

For more information about their trip to Vittel, read more on the Wellington Water Watcher's blog.

We remember and acknowledge that we are on traditional First Nations land. The Middlebrook well is situated on the Haldimand Tract, which is treaty land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. We express gratitude to the original stewards in this area, the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Attawandaron or Neutral peoples, and endeavour to honour this history by strengthening our relationship with land and water and continuing responsible stewardship.
